Join the Crowdfunding Professional Association (CfPA) and the SEC's Office of the Advocate for Small Business Capital Formation for an in-depth session on the tools and resources available to startups and small businesses navigating the capital-raising journey. Gain insights into the complexities of raising capital, understanding regulatory requirements, and mastering other critical aspects of the financial markets.

Speakers include;

Stacey Bowers

Stacey joined the Office in January 2024 and brings a broad range of experience. She was most recently a Professor of the Practice and Director of the Corporate and Commercial Law Program at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where she taught courses in corporate law, including capital raising and accounting for lawyers. She also served as Of Counsel at 3Pillars Law, PLLC, where she represented small business owners and entrepreneurs seeking to raise capital. Before joining the Sturm College of Law, Stacey worked in private practice and as in-house securities counsel for two public companies. Stacey began her legal career as a staff attorney in the SEC’s Division of Corporation Finance. 

Pablo Echeverri

Pablo joined the Office in September 2023 and has experience advising on securities and corporate law matters as in-house and outside counsel. Prior to joining the Office, Pablo worked at OTC Markets Group and FINRA, following a stint as a law professor at Duquesne University and a research fellow at UC Berkeley. Before academia, he practiced law at Milbank in New York and Fried Frank in Washington, DC.

Brian Belley

Brian Belley is an aerospace engineer turned tech entrepreneur with a keen eye for innovative financing in the startup ecosystem. As the founder of Crowdwise and VentureWallet, which were acquired by Kingscrowd in 2021, Brian now serves as KingsCrowd’s Vice President of Product. With over 220 personal angel investments under his belt, he's deeply entrenched in the investment landscape. Brian is an active board member for the Crowdfunding Professional Association and a passionate advocate for growth and innovation in the industry.
